On January 9, 2013, Richard Cameron King, 66, of rural Mt. Blanchard, finished his pilgrimage through this world when God took him home.
Born on August 7, 1946 in Bluffton, Ohio. He is the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Tripplehorn) King.
He married Deborah Redd and they divorced. He married Barbara Presler on July 31, 1998. She survives in rural Mt. Blanchard.
Also surviving is his daughter, Kari (Rich) King, Alvada, OH, two step-children; Jennifer Romick and Diana (Keith) Walter, both of Carey, six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, a brother, James King, Newport Richie, FL.
Richard worked for 31 years for Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay.
He was a former member of the NRA. A U.S. Marine, Richard was a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran.
At the request of the deceased, the body has been cremated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Zion Bloom Cemetery near Vanlue. STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
