Florence T. Fredritz, 86, formerly of Vanlue, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at 4:10 a.m. at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky, where she had resided the past 4 years.

She was born in Millersville, Ohio on December 4, 1925. Daughter of the late Anthony E. and Matilda O. (Gabel) Miller.

Florence married Paul T. Fredritz on April 12, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2009.

Surviving are her eight children; Janice (Donald) Stark, Upper Sandusky, Ronald (Linda K. Kazmaier) Fredritz, Carey, Gary (Betty) Fredritz, Carey, Linda Garrett, Alvada, Carol (Jerry Hershman) Miller, Carey, Sharon (James) Hunter, Mt. Blanchard, Rose (Gary) Weaver, Jasper, MO, Mark Fredritz, McCutchenville. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Fredritz, daughter-in-law, Barbara Fredritz, a granddaughter and 2 great-grandsons, 3 sisters; Olivia Bauman, Genevieve Fisher, Irma Ehrman, four brothers; Leo, Carl, Ralph and Paul Miller.

Florence was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking and playing the piano. She and her husband loved to travel the country in their motor home. They also enjoyed polka music and square dancing.

She was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 2-8p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey. Rosary Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey, with Rev. John Stowe OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.

Memorial contributions in memory of Florence may be made to O.L.C. Church or O.L.C. School in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, Ohio 43316-1169.
