Louise V. Pahl, 88, of Carey died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. at Hospice Care Center, Findlay, OH.
She was born on December 2, 1923 in McCutchenville, Ohio. Daughter of the late Fred Landon and Julia Bertha (Gintert) Tanner.
On November 23, 1946 she married Clarence L. Pahl in Carey, OH.. He survives in Carey.
Also surviving are her five children, William Pahl, Ronald (Joan) Pahl, Keith (Lucy) Pahl, Karl Pahl and Donna (Roy) Johnson, all of Carey, six grandchildren; Aaron, Heather, Austin, Brian, Jessica and Rachelle, 11 great-grandchildren, three sister in laws, Dorothy Mathias, Tiffin and Velma Lafontain, Carey, Frances Tanner, Vanlue and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters; Mildred Laury, Edith Wickiser, Kathryn Mahoney, Esther Hotelling, five brothers; Earl Tanner, Fred Tanner, Dale Tanner, Ralph Tanner and Walter Tanner.
Louise graduated in 1941 from McCutchenville, where she was selected Class Speaker. She attended Columbus Business School.
She retired from A.O. Smith.
She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
Louise was also a member of the American Legion Aux. and Red Hats Society. She enjoyed playing cards, baking and spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2012 from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey. Scripture Service will be at 7:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with Rev. John Stowe OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.
Memorial contributions in memory of Louise may be given to OLC Shrine or OLC School in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, Ohio 43316-1169.
